Margenett Moore-Roberts

Strategic Communication; Principal Consultant, the Moore-Roberts Group

Margenett Moore-Roberts has established a career as a transformation agent by building strategic business units from the ground up across sales, operations, product strategy, and human resources for small, medium, and large organizations.

Most recently, Moore-Roberts held roles as the first chief inclusion & diversity officer for the Yahoo and Interpublic Group (IPG) division IPG DXTRA. As a diversity officer, she collaborated with stakeholders across the organization to develop and execute a comprehensive diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) strategy, including brand positioning and market-facing strategies. She also advised fellow C-suite executives on ways to establish DEIB as a critical business imperative, incorporating key DEIB qualitative and quantitative performance metrics alongside other, standard business, health, and strength metrics.

In prior roles, Moore-Roberts’s leadership and influence helped to elevate each respective company’s competitive position in the market. When she served as general manager and senior director of Video Advertising Strategy for Yahoo’s first video advertising and content syndication networks, her business generated more than $100M in revenue over three and a half years.

Moore-Roberts’s perspective and thought leadership have been featured in numerous print and digital publications, podcasts, panels, and other industry events. She served as the executive producer of the anti-racism platform One Million Kids, One Million Talks, which encourages and enables parents and families to talk to their children about racism early and often. The platform includes the short documentary-style film Dear White Parents.

Moore-Roberts has served on the board of the T. Howard Foundation and currently serves on the board of the Civilians, a theater company that interrogates our lived experience, questions and tests the stories that shape our world, and awakens new thinking and perceptions through its creations.
