Kurt Brungardt Biography

Kurt Brungardt is the Chief Information Officer and Managing Director for MSD Capital, L.P., the New York-based private investment firm that manages the capital of Michael Dell and his family. Kurt manages all of MSD's technology, from trading systems to the design and implementation of advanced research capture and management systems. In addition to mentoring for Columbia University’s Executive Master of Science in Technology Management program, Brungardt serves on the board of the New York chapter of the Society for Information Management as the President. He is also a member of the exclusive New York CTO Club, which serves as an exclusive opportunity to think and design within the growing Silicon Alley and New City community.

Brungardt has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a master’s in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
