Kristin Lovejoy Biography

Kris Lovejoy is President of Acuity Solutions, producer of BluVector, an advanced threat detection and analysis solution. Prior to her role at Acuity, Kristin Lovejoy was the General Manager of the IBM Security Services Division, charged with development and delivery of managed and professional security services to IBM clients world-wide. Kris also spent several years as IBM’s VP of Information Technology Risk and Global CISO, responsible for managing, monitoring and testing IBM’s corporate security and resiliency functions globally, where she also acted as Chairman of IBM IT Risk Steering Committee, Co-Chair of IBM Data Security Steering Committee, as well as member of IBM’s Enterprise Risk Management Executive Council, IBM representative to the U.S. Cybersecurity Policy Council and National Governor’s Association Cybersecurity Committee, member of IBM’s Growth & Transformation Team, and Co-Chair of IBM’s Women’s Diversity Committee. Today Kris is a member of a number of external boards and advisory panels, including SC Magazine's Editorial Board and Grotech Ventures. Before joining IBM, she was the CTO, CIO, and VP of Support and Services at Consul which was acquired by IBM in 2007 as well as VP of Security Assurance Services for TruSecure Corporation which was acquired by Verizon.

Kris is a recognized expert in the field on security, risk, compliance, and governance with recent keynotes at the Israel Defense Conference, CyberTech 2015, the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), SecTor, and Hack-in-the-Box as well as appearances in Forbes, Fortune, the Christian Science Monitor, and USA Today. In 2015, she was recognized by EWF as 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year for her contributions to the security market, by SC Magazine as one of Top 5 Managers in the Security Industry (Reboot 25 quarter century retrospective). She was also featured by SC as a 2014 Power Player and Top Woman in Security, won the 2014 CSO Compass award in reflection of demonstrated excellence, achievement and leadership in the security field, designated Top 25 CTO by InfoWorld, Top 25 Most Influential Security Executive by Security Magazine, and as Top Woman in Security by eWeek. Ms. Lovejoy holds U.S. and EU patents for Object Oriented Risk Management Models and Methods.
