At this inaugural CIO Forum presented by Columbia University’s Executive Master of Science in Technology Management program, Virginia Gambale, former CIO for Bankers Trust/Alex Brown, will address significant issues facing corporate and nonprofit boards today and their needs from their organization’s CIO. She will also discuss best practices for CIOs positioning themselves and their work before boards.

A successful private equity investor and technology executive, Gambale was named one of Wall Street’s top-three technologists and Forbes Great Communicators. Since 2003, she has been managing partner of Azimuth Partners, LLC, a strategic advisory firm, developing corporate strategy and orchestrating successful exits for companies via M&A and IPO. She has served on numerous international public and private boards including Motive, Workbrain, IQ Financial, and Synchronoss Technologies. Since 2005, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of JetBlue. Gambale is a mentor to students in Columbia’s Executive M.S. in technology Management program
