The Earth Institute and the School of Professional Studies Master of Science in Sustainability Management Practicum presents "Innovation in Building Energy Efficiency", with Dorian Dale, Director of Sustainability and Chief Recovery Officer, Suffolk County.

Dorian Dale works in Suffolk County’’s newly reconstituted economic development department, promulgating initiatives that are sustainable and self-sustaining economically. He oversees extended recovery and mitigation in the wake of Superstorm Sandy and the face of sea-level rise. He gained national attention as the Energy Director and Sustainability Officer of the Town of Babylon, where he led the Long Island Green Homes program, an innovative, municipally financed formula for one-stop energy efficiency retrofits.

In this talk, we will learn of a successful attempt to innovate the financing of building energy retrofitting.
