For high priority on the list of University housing, you must complete an application for admission and a separate application for housing and submit them at the same time. Rooms will be assigned on a rolling basis until all available rooms are filled. You may apply for housing in advance of registration for summer courses, but you will not be permitted to remain in campus housing if you do not register for classes or withdraw from the program. Applications must be submitted online. Full payment must be made by credit card upon application submission.

The Off-Campus Housing Assistance Office helps Columbia students and affiliates in their search for rental housing in non-Columbia-owned buildings located in the metropolitan area. These accommodations are not subject to inspection or approval by the University.
OCHA maintains a database known as the Housing Registry which contains listings of rooms and apartments in non-Columbia-owned buildings in NYC, which prospective roommates can also use to post and search roommate profiles. OCHA offers housing search counseling and has created a webinar about apartment hunting.
