This course investigates the cultural, political, social, and economic changes of the 1960s, focusing on white supremacy and the civil rights movement, the Vietnam war and the antiwar movement, the women's movement, the gay movement, the "sex, drugs, rock-n-roll" upheavals and the resistances to all of the above, and their origins and consequences.
