October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Columbia University’s fall 2014 blood drive campaign is dedicated to increasing awareness of this disease. Breast cancer changes everything for the over 235,000 men and women diagnosed each year.

Additionally, every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood for a life-saving transfusion.  As an educational leader – and an integral part of the fabric of New York City - Columbia has consistently been at the forefront in helping to touch the lives of cancer patients, accident victims, newborn babies, surgery patients, and others in need.

Join the Office of the President, the Office of Government and Community Affairs, and the University’s partner, the New York Blood Center, in raising awareness of breast cancer and supporting the cause of blood donation.  Help to sustain the lives of those in need.
