Michael Ramah

Michael Ramah is the director of strategic planning for Porter Novelli (PN) in the New York office. He has overall responsibility for developing the planning capabilities at Porter Novelli, including stewardship of the agency’s proprietary in house planning tool, Compass.

In addition to his internal responsibilities, Ramah also serves as ad hoc counsel to the agency’s clients on branding, strategic planning, message development, business plan development, strategy summits and related marketing based undertakings.

As a broad based marketing generalist, Ramah has worked across all of the agency’s practices, as well as internationally. Clients including McDonald’s, Gillette, The American Cancer Society, HP, IBM, The Dole Food Company, and the CDC. From 1987-1997, Ramah was part of the PN international social marketing team, which he eventually directed. Funded primarily by The Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Health Organization (WHO), projects took place in developing countries around the globe on topics including family planning, HIV prevention, nutrition, maternal and child health, and substance abuse prevention.

Prior to joining Porter Novelli, Ramah was manager of marketing services at Seven Up International, with responsibility for worldwide implementation of non advertising based brand support.

He is a graduate of Williams College.
