David Grossman

David Grossman is founder and CEO of The Grossman Group, an award-winning Chicago-based communications consultancy focused on organizational consulting, strategic leadership development and internal communications. Their client roster includes Accor, AOL, Heinz, Intel, McDonald's, Microsoft, and Virgin Atlantic, among others.

Grossman has been featured on NBC Nightly News and in the Chicago Tribune, the Public Relations Society of America's (PRSA) The Strategist and The Holmes Report, and has authored a variety of e-books such as The Definitive Guide to Taming the Email Monster, The Mistakes CEOs Can't Help But Make and the Fixes They Can't Afford Not to Make, and The Leader Differential: Five Steps to Thrive (Not Just Survive).

He is the author of You Can't NOT Communicate: Proven Communication Solutions That Power the Fortune 100, which offers proven tips and tools for leaders looking to increase their impact and drive business results, and its follow up You Can't NOT Communicate 2: More Proven Communication Solutions That Power the Fortune 100.

The Grossman Group has been twice named PR Week's "Boutique Agency of the Year" and The Holmes Report's "Employee Communication Agency of the Year." Their work has won the prestigious Silver Anvil Award from PRSA, the Gold Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the Golden World Award from the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and SABRE Awards from The Holmes Report for Product of the Year.

Grossman is a member of USA Today's corporate management and leadership CEO panel. He is a member of the National Speakers Association and is a designated IABC recommended speaker. He serves on the Editorial Board for the Melcrum Internal Comms Hub, has served as president of PRSA Chicago, co-president of IABC-Chicago, president of the PRSA Foundation, co-vice chair of the Universal Accreditation Board, on the National Conference committee and Strategic Planning Committee for PRSA, and as a Silver Anvil judge.

Prior to founding The Grossman Group in 2000, Grossman was director of communications for McDonald's.

He graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an honors degree in Journalism and holds a master's in Corporate Public Relations from Northwestern University. He began his career as a journalist, working in radio news and television.
