The Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program has offered me the ability and skill to see the world from the lens of audacity and optimism. The program encourages students to understand conflict resolution through experiential learning environment, coupled with a curriculum that is highly grounded in practicality to the real world.

During my studies at Columbia, I was selected as the Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict, and Complexity (AC4) Graduate Fellow at the Earth Institute. I was humbled to teach social entrepreneurship at a nonprofit leadership academy and conduct research into genocide prevention in Rwanda. The experience changed my career trajectory and narrowed my academic focus. I am now able to see a clear connection between my passion in entrepreneurship and the social impact of it.

Currently, I am the Co-Founder and CEO of Oh My Green! (www.ohmygreen.com), a social enterprise marketplace for hand-selected organic and non-GMO foods. Our mission is to help people lead a healthy and blissful life. We provide an online platform for food producers to have direct access to consumers. We also donate a portion of our profit to support organic food-related nonprofit organizations. Using the skills I developed through the NECR program, I negotiated over ten corporate endorsements and on-boarded many more vendors to our platform by understanding their interests and addressing their concerns. Maya Angelou said it best, “When you know better, you do better” And I did.
