Beth Fisher-Yoshida and Joshua Fisher Co-Author Paper on Educating Negotiators

Beth Fisher-Yoshida, Ph.D., Academic Director and faculty member of the Master of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies, and Josh Fisher, Ph.D., faculty member, have co-authored an article for Negotiation and Conflict Management Research that describes a negotiation simulation designed to incorporate skill-building, process management, conflict analysis, and conflict management tools.

The model incorporates equal emphasis on theoretical frameworks and understanding, self-awareness training for facilitators, social network and stakeholder analysis for negotiation preparation, participatory analytics and discursive process management, and developing metics for monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment.
