Columbia University offers Summer Immersion: Hong Kong in collaboration with the University of Hong Kong, founded in 1911 and one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in Asia.

Studying and living on the University of Hong Kong’s beautiful campus in the heart of the city, students explore the history, culture, politics, and entrepreneurial spirit of the region.
Taught by faculty members from the University of Hong Kong and Columbia University, the course of study breaks out of the classroom as students visit historical and cultural sites, including the city center, temples and monasteries, and the majestic bronze Tian Tan Buddha statue.
Optional evening and weekend activities include outings to familiarize students with cultural and social differences, communication, and transportation in Hong Kong.
A trained and experienced residence life staff provides for the safety and well-being of students throughout the program, both on and off campus.
Open to students entering grades 11 or 12 or freshman year of college in the fall.
Programs are conducted in English and no knowledge of a secondary language is required.
