Summer Term

For students entering grades 11 or 12, or freshman year of college.

Summer Courses

There are two summer sessions between May and August; each runs for 6 weeks. Students can attend one or both sessions. For information regarding specific dates, see the summer term calendar.

Session offerings are indicated in the course number of each class. For example, CHEM S1403D General Chemistry I is offered in Session D. This is indicated in the course number (S1403D).

Course Seats and Required Preparation

College Edge students typically enroll in lower-level (1000–2999) courses and must obtain special permission from the Advisor of the Pre-College Programs to register for upper-level courses (3000 and above).

Please note that some courses have prerequisites. In addition, College Edge students are restricted from enrolling in workshop and seminar courses.

The summer program is open to domestic or international students entering grades 11 or 12, or freshman year of college in the fall, as well as recent high school graduates.
