Li Guoqiang

Since March 2016, Guoqiang (GQ) has served as Head of Capital Management and FP&A for AIG Commercial Insurance. In this role he is responsible for capital and balance sheet optimization, capital adequacy assessment and stress testing, intercompany reinsurance for AIG’s non-life legal entities, and financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and performance measurement for AIG Commercial Insurance. From January 2015 to February 2016 Guoqiang was Head of Non-Life Capital Management, AIG Global Actuary and Value Management. From 2009 to 2014, Guoqiang was the Head of Strategic Finance of AIG Property Casualty Inc. From 1999 to 2009 Guoqiang was at AIG’s Enterprise Risk Management working on derivative valuations, Value at Risk implementation, asset-liability management, credit risk analytics, insurance risk measurement, and economic capital. 
 
Prior to AIG, Guoqiang worked for eight years as a research scientist at various universities and published extensively in scientific journals.  Guoqiang holds a Ph. D. in physics from Nanjing University, China, as wells as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation.
