Conrad Fernandes serves as Vice President at Teledyne LeCroy, a leader in Electronic Test and Measurement instrumentation. Prior to that he was the Vice President of Asia Business Development for the Electronic and Environmental Instrumentation business of Teledyne Corporation. Teledyne is a provider of enabling technologies for industrial markets including aerospace and defense, deep-water oil and gas, oceanographic research, air and water quality monitoring, electronic design, factory automation, and medical imaging.
Fernandes holds an Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Limerick in Ireland and an MBA from Cass Business School in London. He was awarded a Ph.D. in International Business (Finance) by ISM in Paris. His research interests include the management of risk in Overseas Foreign Direct Investment in the technology sector.
During his career in high-tech, Fernandes has managed businesses at startups as well as large Corporations. He has experience managing Mergers & Acquisitions in both directions, and his teaching interest spans Technology Management, Risk Management, and Corporate Finance.
He has lived and worked in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, and China, and is now based in New York. He speaks French and Mandarin Chinese well, and German and Japanese badly.
