Tuition
The Summer 2024 tuition rate is $2,640 per point (credit). Tuition is calculated based on the total points registered for a given semester. Full-time students are registered for 12 or more points in a given semester.

Funding Opportunities
SUSTAINABILITY MANAGEMENT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS
​
Incoming Students:
The Merit Fellowship awards for incoming students provide funding for use towards the cost of tuition. The Sustainability Management Admissions and Fellowship Committee will determine fellowship recipients and award amounts based on academic and professional merit. All applicants are automatically considered once all program application materials are submitted.
Continuing Students:
The Continuing Student Fellowship, which is open to students who have completed their first semester provides funding for use towards the cost of tuition. The Sustainability Management Fellowship Committee will determine fellowship recipients and award amounts based on financial need. Students must apply each semester to be considered (application form will be sent via email to all continuing students).
COURSE READER ROLES AND FELLOWSHIP
​
Each semester, the program offers Course Reader positions to highly achieving students on a competitive basis. Students who are awarded these positions assist instructors with the grading of assignments and other administrative duties associated with courses in the program. Course Readers will receive $3,100.00 per class/per term (applicable for both full and part-time students). Students will also be eligible to apply for the dozens of curricula and grading assistantships offered by other Climate School-affiliated graduate and undergraduate programs.
The Sustainability Management program also offers a Course Reader Fellowship to any student appointed as a Course Reader, to augment the base compensation provided to the Course Readers (application form will be sent via email to all continuing students).
Please note: Alumni appointed as a Course Associate role are not eligible for the Course Reader Fellowship.
COLUMBIA HBCU FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Open to seniors and recent graduates of Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) as defined by the U.S. Department of Education, the Columbia HBCU Fellowship Program prepares talented, high-performing HBCU graduates to lead, innovate, drive community impact, and advance their professional industries through program engagement, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
LUKSIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR SUSTAINABILITY AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY

The Luksic Scholarship for Sustainability offers a transformative opportunity for students who have lived or worked in Chile and are dedicated to contributing to sustainability efforts in the region. This scholarship is designed to foster the next generation of sustainability leaders by covering the entire cost of attendance, including tuition and living expenses.
​
A total of 2 Scholarships are available each year for candidates who are accepted onto the Master of Science in Sustainability Management program (for Fall terms with classes starting in September) offered at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies. This degree offers an interdisciplinary approach to sustainability, drawing on expertise from leading academics, researchers, and practitioners, and equips students with advanced policy and management tools to tackle sustainability challenges faced by businesses, NGOs, and governments.

COLUMBIA SPS CUNY FELLOWSHIP
Columbia University School of Professional Studies (SPS) has launched a new fellowship program, the Columbia SPS CUNY Fellowship, for the 2024–25 school year. Building on the success of the Columbia HBCU Fellowship, this program at SPS aims to provide high-achieving recent CUNY graduates access to Columbia’s vast academic, professional, and community resources.
CLIMATE SCHOOL INTERNSHIPS

The Climate School offers numerous internships to students every academic year. These positions are available throughout the Climate School’s research centers, administrative units, and academic programs. Interns are paid an hourly rate of $22, and they may work up to 20 hours per week in the fall and spring semesters, and up to 35 hours per week in the summer. Hiring for internships takes place on a competitive basis.
School of Professional Studies Financial Resources​
​The School of Professional Studies works to ensure that the cost of continuing education and professional studies do not stand in the way of students’ goals. Most students at the School use a combination of savings, scholarships, loans, outside grants, sponsors, or employer tuition benefits to cover the cost of attendance.
