Vice President of Data Science at Nielsen Joins Applied Analytics Faculty

Diahanna Post, the former Director of Data Science at Nielsen [ed. As of September 1, 2016, Post is now the Vice President of Data Science at Nielsen], has joined the faculty of the Master of Science in Applied Analytics program. She will teach the course Applied Analytics in the Organizational Context this fall.

Post brings over 15 years of experience working in the field to the classroom with a background in both traditional data-gathering and big data measurement. At Nielsen, the world’s foremost global measurement company, she manages a team that focuses on digital advertising and content syndicated products, including multi-platform products that combine data mined from television, mobile, and online.

Prior to joining Nielsen, Post worked as Senior Analyst at the U.S. Accountability Office and Policy Analyst at the National Resources Defense Council. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from UC Berkeley, and a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor’s in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Michigan.
