Lisa Godek is a strategy and innovation professional with 20 years of experience in market, portfolio, and product development, as well as brand strategy. She leads market understanding, customer insight, and solutions development to enable customer-centric decision-making in support of short-term and long-range commercial strategy. She has a proven track record of solving business issues and driving commercial results through her objective analysis of data, coupled with her deep understanding of human behavior.
Godek has led global business analytics and insights teams at Pfizer. She serves as a subject matter expert in such areas as market sizing and epidemiology, demand assessments and forecasting, brand architecture, market development, and customer segmentation.
She spent 16 years at Pfizer. During her tenure there, she supported commercial development, business development, brand marketing, and strategy across a number of therapeutic areas. In 2014, Godek was a Pfizer Global Health Entrepreneurship Fellow with Project Hope in Shanghai, China. In this role, she established the strategic platform and three-year plan to activate a Senior Health Research and Development Center at Shanghai SanDa University.
Prior to joining Pfizer, Godek headed the market research department at the Columbia House Company, a music and movie distribution arm of Sony and Time Warner. She also worked as a social and political pollster. She received her Ph.D. in sociology with a specialization in demography from the University of Michigan.
