Joshua Burgher is a Lecturer in the Discipline of Applied Analytics at Columbia University. Previously he held several leadership and instructional roles at Columbia University and was Vice President for Finance and Program Analytics at Georgetown University, leading finance, strategic planning and analytics, and institutional research for the main campus. Prior to his roles in academics, he was a management consultant at Ernst & Young, focusing on finance and performance management, as well as M&A transaction support services, primarily for the media, entertainment, and communications sectors. He was also an early employee at a successful startup company.
Burgher studies optimization of nonprofit entities in their efforts to achieve desired impact and has an MBA from Columbia University, an M.S. in Engineering and Technology Management from Colorado School of Mines, and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University. Currently he is completing his Ph.D. in Management at Cass Business School (UK) and TIAS School for Business and Society (The Netherlands).
