Throughout his 17+ years of leadership experiences in advanced analytics at the Hartford, AIG, Liberty Mutual, as well as retail marketing analytics, Chris Kuo brings data science in customer analytics, risk segmentation, insurance pricing, underwriting, claims, workers compensation, fraud detection and litigation.
Kuo is a passionate adjunct professor. To him teaching is a lifelong art that involves constant learning. He taught graduate and undergraduate data science, economics and management courses at Columbia University, Boston University, University of New Hampshire, and Liberty University.
Kuo is also a productive researcher. He has published in several economic and management journals. He also serves as a journal reviewer including the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance and the International Journal of Auditing. Currently he is working on his book titled Fraud detection with Python and R.
Chris earned the Charter Property Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation in 2014. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from SUNY at Stony Brook and a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineer from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan.
