Abraham Weishaus served as financial reporting actuary at Guardian Life Insurance Company for 27 years. He is best known as the author of popular study manuals for the actuarial exams dealing with life contingencies, financial economics, and actuarial modeling. He has been teaching exam review courses since 1985, and served on the exam committee for the individual life and annuity pricing and financial reporting exams from 1987 to 1997. He received his B.A. at Yeshiva University and his Ph.D. at New York University.
