Aloke Ghosh

Dr. Al (Aloke) Ghosh is professor of financial accounting at Columbia University School of Professional Studies. Ghosh is also a professor of accountancy at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, City University of New York. He is the director of the executive M.S. in financial statement analysis and securities valuation and the doctoral program coordinator of accountancy at the Zicklin School of Business of Baruch College.

In the past, Ghosh has served as the accounting academic fellow at the Securities and Exchange Commission and as a visiting professor at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University. Ghosh serves as an advisor to several leading hedge funds in the U.S. and around the world on accounting and finance matters, NYSE Euronext, and other financial institutions.

Ghosh holds a Ph.D. in business and economics from Tulane University, New Orleans. He has published in leading accounting and finance journals including Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies, Journal of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Financial Management, and Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, among other journals. He also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for these journals.
